Coach Alyssa
My name is Alyssa, I used to be overweight and hated the way I looked when I saw my reflection in the mirror.
I did not want to think about the negative emotions about myself and used food to eat away my feelings by diving into bags of potato chips, pints of ice cream, and several cookies hardly able to move after my binge eating session.
I was fed up with how I looked and decided I was going to eat 800 calories a day to get to my goal. If I binged ate, I would throw up the food so that I did not take in the calories and before you knew it, I was at my goal weight in 3 months.
Although I reached my goal, I felt weak and did not have any energy, I was obsessively counting every calorie, and I would pass out in the middle of workout sessions often due to lack of food I needed.
I eventually gained all my weight back and reached 175 lbs at 5’6. I was in a worse place than when I started and I did not want to go on an extreme diet or calorie diet to get to my goal; I KNEW. I needed something sustainable.
I decided instead of a weightloss goal, that I wanted to focus on good habits that would help me to increase my energy and confidence, stay motivated, and feel strong.
I learned how to stop looking at food as the enemy, replaced binge eating with painting, and changed my negative self talk to things that would uplift me.
After I discovered how to love myself, I wanted to help other people transform inside and outside. Since 2010, I've worked with thousands of clients over a decade working with people that have limitations, lower back pain, knee injuries, and need a starting point for their current fitness level..
